JART TOUR around Basque Country

Due to these pandemic times, we decided to make our JART tour in the Basque Country, a region of northern Spain, where HLC SB Distribution is located, to make the tour local, and for the team to visit our factory as well.

The team stayed in a beautiful farmhouse, a typical Basque house in the middle of the mountain, a place to relax after the missions and enjoy good BBQ´s.

We are still immersed in the recording of our next video, so the best tricks of the tour will be saved for the next project.

Have a look at the pictures that illustrate what the tour was all about.

Any skater, no matter what level has, usually freaks out about the HLC factory. Being surrounded by boards is pure motivation. Whether you are a rookie or a professional who is in the world's Top 3, like Gustavo Ribeiro.

]Danny Leon and Gustavo Ribeiro next to Iban Iraola, one of the three brothers who owns and created the HLC company.

Iban has been manufacturing skateboards and making the HLC family grow for 20 years. Nobody better than him to teach Gustavo the ins and outs of skateboarding manufacturing and its most hidden secrets.

Right next to the HLC SB DISTRIBUTION factory, where JART was created, we can find this restaurant, which has this rail at the entrance.

The employees of the restaurant didn't say anything when they saw the post-lunch session start. But the receptionist of the Hotel in the next door wasn't enjoying the show, and after trying to throw us out in a bad way, she ended up calling the police... typical bitter.

One of the days we drove to Bilbao, to skate the mythical and known "La Kantera" pool. Danny is easily and masterfully developed by the place... Here stretching a beautiful fs stalefish in the pool.

The house we were staying in during the JART tour, was close to this photogenic spot in Biarritz, a bowl on the roof of a museum that I'm sure you've seen before.

The place is epically photogenic, but not easy to skate, it's not built for that purpose.

In the photos Danny flies from fs indy disaster and sticks a classic fs blunt of him in the deepest part of the bowl.

Adrien wanted to check out this huge hubba in Biarritz, but at the reception there were some works in progress.

Even so, Adrien decided to skate it, and he stuck this scary nollie hell drop in, braking with his tail before stamping himself with the reception fences... a madness "made in Bulard".

The truth is that Adrien was in full swing on this tour, skating everything that came his way.

Here he is taking his famous treflip on a set of stairs in San Sebastian.

We also went on a mission to Hondarribia, the town where the Iraola brothers and many of the HLC employees are from.

In this small border town there are a couple of good spots, here we can see Roger Silva flying over the fs ollie paper mill and garden.

One of the days, we boarded in a 15-meter sailboat and spent the day swimming and eating in the sun! A real relaxation to get strength and have fun with the family! Thank you very much Gure Balandra (name of the sailboat)!

One of the last days we returned to Bilbao, this time to skate street. We spent a few hours at the incredible EMB in Erandio, an incredible square in front of the Bilbao river.

In the photo you can see Emidio Silva, Portuguese filmmaker, recording a line to Kristian Krasimirov.

Gustavo, Danny and Emidio always good vibes, they don't stop having fun for a single moment.

Emilio's skate went to the river! The ugly face of this beautiful spot that you can lose your skate at any time. Here Rafa Bocanegra about to dive in rescue mission.

It was a pleasure to have all the team together. Wish to be back soon on the same mood as in the pics.

Thanks to Emidio Silva and Jokin Abalia for help us filming.

The photographies showed in this post were shooted by Alex Braza, Pablo Ribera and Urtzi Unanue.
