For those who don’t know him yet, Aritz Aranburu is one of the most important figures in the history of Spanish surfing. He is the only Basque and Spanish surfer to have been among the top 45 surfers in the world (WCT 2007). As a true legend in and out of the water, Aritz is charismatic and enthusiastic not only when it comes to surfing, but in all aspects of life.
When we started designing his unique model, he already had clear ideas and an open mind. Therefore, the development of the YOW Aritz Aranburu Signature took a matter of days. This board represents his personal style, as well as the shape of one of his own surfboards with which he shares many surf sessions. A model totally focused on asphalt power surfing. It has a long 19″ wheelbase, which together with the Meraki S5 system, allows for greater control in high power turns. The 66x51mm 80A Ura wheels help to maintain speed in open turns without losing grip with the surface.
